ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS

Digital Art Files
Acceptable Software in PC Format:
-Adobe Illustrator CS3 or earlier
-Adobe Photoshop CS3 or earlier
-Corel Draw 12.0 or earlier

Acceptable Storage Media:
-IBM formatted CD

Artwork Specifications
Vector Artwork:  Vector artwork is an image created by points and paths.  Vector artwork allows for editing, scaling and the ability to be separated for spot color reproduction.

Cut Margins:  A cut margin is the minimum space required between the finished edge of the product and the artwork.  Spacing requirements vary depending on product.  Refer to individual product information.

Bleeds:  A bleed is the distance the ink extends past the finished edge of the product prior to final cut size.  Minimum standard bleeds requirement is 1/8".  Some bleed requirements vary depending on product.  Refer to individual product information.

Custom Shaped Products:  For products requiring a custom shape, a vector line drawing is required of the actual size and shape of finished product.  Submit vector line drawings in EPS format to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .  

Typesetting, Fonts & Colors

Typesetting
All Typesetting must be furnished by the customer.  Any typesetting requested will require an additional charge unless otherwise noted on catalog page.  Please call for quote.

Fonts
Specific Fonts:     For a specific font, please indicate font name on Purchase Order.  Unless using a TrueType font, specific fonts may not be true after conversion.  However, when possible, all efforts to match a specific font will be made.  All fonts on digital file must be converted to paths/outlines prior to being submitted.

Colors
Standard Ink Colors:  No charge for standard colors indicated on Color Chart.

Custom Ink Colors:     There is a $30.00(E) custom color match charge per color.  When choosing a custom color, please specify color using the Pantone Matching System and provide that number.  Customers may also provide a color swatch to be matched.  Perfect Color Matches cannot be guaranteed.

Submitting Artwork

There will be no charge for digital files.  For orders requiring Dillco to re-create or to make any adjustments to submitted artwork, a Final Artwork Proof will be sent for approval and sign-off.  Orders requiring re-creation of custom artwork will be charged accordingly.  Please call 1-800-577-7510 or E-Mail This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it  for quote.

To avoid additional artwork charges and production time:
-Submit artwork in vector format
-Convert all fonts to paths/outlines
-Submit all artwork at actual size of product
-Identify all spot colors, both Standard and PMS
-Include a JPEG or PDF for reference
